From Austin, Texas, to Sacramento, California, protests surged, with demonstrators chanting, \u201cExpel Elon!\u201d and \u201cNo hate, no fear, immigrants are welcome here.\u201d In Phoenix, protests coincided with ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) raids, leading to the detention of unknown numbers of people.
