Photo Courtesy of Like Mike.<\/small><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Electronic producer, musician, and DJ Like Mike chatted about his latest endeavors, which include \u201cPulsating Energy\u201d and his artist project HEREON.<\/p>\n<p>Born Michael \u201cMike\u201d Thivaios, he is one half of the Belgian\u2013Greek DJ electronic duo Dimitri Vegas &amp; Like Mike (along with his brother Dimitri).<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">HEREON project<\/h2>\n<p>He started his new artist project HEREON, which is dedicated to the melodic techno genre in collaboration with Tomorrowland Music.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHEREON has been a behind-the-scenes passion project of mine for a while now,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough HEREON, I get to go deep into the progressive and darker side of my music, bringing a completely different rhythm and feeling to my sets,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy debut album for the project has been received really well so far, and I\u2019m happy to know my fans enjoy this new direction I\u2019m taking with this project,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2018Pulsating Energy\u2019 track<\/h2>\n<p>On his inspiration for \u201cPulsating Energy,\u201d he said, \u201cI\u2019m inspired by my day-to-day life and the energy around me. Collaborating with Florentin and Sam Martin felt like the perfect combination for my debut HEREON release.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<p>\n<iframe title=\"Like Mike, Florentin, HEREON - Pulsating Energy (feat. I always create music as an expression of myself, so to have my fans so into it and enjoying the whole vibe is a great feeling. That\u2019s all I can ever ask for.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2023 DJ Mag Top 100 DJs poll ranking at No. 2<\/h2>\n<p>In 2023, he ranked No. 2 in the DJ Magazine Top 100 DJs poll as part of the musical duo Dimitri Vegas &amp; Like Mike (right behind David Guetta). \u201cIt means a lot to have the support of the fans,\u201d he acknowledged. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve had the honor of being in the Top 3 for the past decade because of the incredible support fans. We can\u2019t thank them all enough for the love!\u201d he exclaimed.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Future plans<\/h2>\n<p>Regarding his plans for the future, he shared, \u201cRight now, I\u2019m focusing all my creative energy on studio time, working on new ideas and finishing tracks for 2024 releases.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere are several new HEREON tracks ready to go and another album in the works, too,\u201d he noted.\u00a0 <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis year, I am continuing to work on myself by improving my health and centering my mind and soul to find a good balance in life. I feel super driven right now and really excited for what the future holds,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The digital age<\/h2>\n<p>On being an artist in the digital age, Like Mike explained, \u201cThe physical side of music was an incredible era, and I still love cassette tapes, CDs and vinyl, but as a touring DJ and active producer, I like how instantaneous the digital age is.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Like Mike on the future of electronic music in the next five years<\/h2>\n<p>When asked about the future of electronic music, in the next five years, he responded, \u201cIt will only go up. The influx of new talent coming into the scene right now is staggering, and the quality of the music being released is amazing.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cDance music feels like it\u2019s on a roll again and you can see this with all the incredible shows and festivals happening across the globe.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Favorite mottos to live by<\/h2>\n<p>On his favorite mottos to live by, he revealed, \u201cLife becomes better when you stop being who you think you are. Don\u2019t let the external take over from the internal. Age isn\u2019t necessarily how old you are; age is how well you take care of yourself.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Superpower of choice<\/h2>\n<p>His superpower of choice would be teleportation. \u201cIt would save me a lot of time between flights and airports,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Success<\/h2>\n<p>On his definition of the word success, Like Mike concluded, \u201cFor me, success is the sum of small efforts repeated day in and day out.
