Erik ten Hag criticised Alejandro Garnacho\u2019s performance after Manchester United\u2019s 2-2 draw against Bournemouth, claiming that he subbed the winger in order to \u2018repair\u2019 the team.<\/p>\n United registered a dismal first-half display as Bournemouth took the lead twice through Dominic Solanke and Justin Kluivert.<\/p>\n Bruno Fernandes scored both of United\u2019s equalisers, one of which came from the pantly spot, but the draw leaves Ten Hag\u2019s side with just one win in seven Premier League games.<\/p>\n Garnacho, meanwhile, struggled to make an impact in the first half and was replaced by Amad Diallo at the break with United looking to score an equaliser.<\/p>\n Speaking after his side\u2019s draw, Ten Hag highlighted the problem United had on their right flank before deciding to substitute Garnacho.<\/p>\n Asked about the issue on United\u2019s right side for Kluivert\u2019s goal, Ten Hag said: \u2018It already happened before that.<\/p>\n \u2018That [Dominic] Solanke was dropping in, we didn\u2019t anticipate, something to do with our organisation, that is something I point to, you need some coaching there then you stop it at the source.<\/p>\n \u2018In the second phase it was too easy, on the right side there was a big gap and Kluivert should never get that ball there but if [he does] then we have to close it, that\u2019s clear and obvious.\u2019<\/p>\n Asked if that was the reason why Garnacho was substituted, Ten Hag replied: \u2018I think we had to repair over that right side.<\/p>\n \u2018We didn\u2019t play well, the spaces were there in possession, we had to bring a sub there.<\/p>\n \u2018Garnacho was not training during the week, only yesterday, we thought bring some energy, bring some more quality, quality in the sense of co-operation, togetherness over that right side.\u2019<\/p>\n In his interview to MUTV, Ten Hag added: \u2018We conceded two unnecessary goals, we twice lose balls in situations you can\u2019t lose them, I think three times even, that is one part of the story.<\/p>\n \u2018The other part is that right side was so open, it was too easy for them to create chances.\u2019<\/p>\n For more stories like this,\u00a0check our sport page<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Follow Metro Sport for the latest news on \n\t \n\t \n\t This site is protected by reCAPTCHA and the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply.<\/span>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n \n \t\t\t\t\t![\"Alejandro](\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/SEI_199791548-0e28.jpg?quality=90&strip=all&zoom=1&resize=644%2C429\")
