We see it face-on, with its bright center crossed by a glowing bar and surrounded by tightly-wound spiral arms that form a circular shape with relatively clear edges.<\/p>\n


\"Hubble
Distant galaxies can be seen around it, along with a few bright stars, on a dark background. One star to the right of the galaxy, known as HD 101274, is very large and extremely bright with long diffraction spikes around it. HD 101274 is an optical illusion, as it lies just 1,530 light-years from Earth, meaning it is about 85,000 times closer than NGC 3783.<\/p>\n
