EvoLogics introduces an acoustic-based diver navigation system (DNS) for use underwater. This system enables a team of divers to transmit short messages amongst each other as well as with the surface, while also providing real-time tracking of each other\u2019s positions.<\/p>\n<p><span id=\"more-176720\"\/><br \/><iframe title=\"EvoLogics presents the new Diver Navigation System\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/m-OIf5vRDcA?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><br \/>It consists of a tracking unit, a diver console, and a USBL (ultra-short baseline) buoy. The latter would float at the surface, continuously sending acoustic pings through the water. These pings are then received by the tracking unit mounted on the divers\u2019 tanks, which then sends back another ping.
