Jurgen Klopp insists he is \u2018not particularly concerned\u2019 by Mohamed Salah\u2019s form and says the Liverpool forward has always had periods where he has been less ruthless in front of goal.<\/p>\n

Salah has scored 29 goals for club and country this season but there is a sense his overall game is on the decline and he is becoming efficient in the final third.<\/p>\n

The Egyptian scored from the penalty spot against Atalanta on Thursday night but Liverpool still exited the Europa League courtesy of a 3-1 aggregate defeat to the Serie A side.<\/p>\n

With Liverpool chasing the two goals needed to take the tie to extra-time, Salah was subbed off with 30 minutes remaining but Klopp insists he is not worried by the 31-year-old\u2019s form.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m not concerned,\u2019 Klopp said. \u2018This is what strikers do and what happens to strikers. They have to go through this, he has to go through this.<\/p>\n

\u2018He\u2019s one of the most experienced players we have in the squad. That\u2019s pretty much all. It\u2019s not like Mo hasn\u2019t missed chances before in his life, that\u2019s part of the game.<\/p>\n

\u2018The penalty was super convincing, it was a super penalty. The next chance was unlucky but it\u2019s not the first time he\u2019s missed a chance. I\u2019m not particularly concerned, no.\u2019<\/p>\n

Out of Europe, Liverpool\u2019s season is at risk of petering out, although they remain just two points off the top of the Premier League despite losing to Crystal Palace last weekend.<\/p>\n

\u2018We have to focus on the league and that is exactly what we will do from now,\u2019 Klopp said. \u2018Tonight we won the game so we are back to winning ways.<\/p>\n

\u2018We have a few days to recover to go again against\u00a0Fulham. That will be a different game but it will be tricky.\u2019<\/p>\n
