Antony insists he hasn\u2019t let criticism affect him and is determined to prove doubters wrong after a disappointing start to his Manchester United career.<\/p>\n

The Brazilian arrived as one of Erik ten Hag\u2019s marquee signings last season for an eyebrow-raising fee of \u00a384.8million but has failed to live up to the billing at Old Trafford thus far.<\/p>\n

A goal in United\u2019s 1-1 draw with Burnley at the weekend, Antony\u2019s first in the Premier League this season, came after the 24-year-old faced a wave of criticism on the back of a controversial celebration in the side\u2019s FA Cup semi-final win over Coventry.<\/p>\n

However, Antony, speaking to reporters after Saturday\u2019s clash, said he remained unfazed by his critics and those questioning his hefty price tag.<\/p>\n

\u2018It doesn\u2019t really impact me because I know my worth,\u2019 he told the media.<\/p>\n

\u2018The money is the money and obviously everyone speaks about it but no one would if the performances of everyone and myself were at the top.<\/p>\n

\u2018So it\u2019s something that is just a way of working harder, knowing I can get better. I know my worth and I will. The critics are going to exist and it\u2019s something that makes me want to work harder, prove to myself first.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m going to keep working, giving everything for the group because it\u2019s most important to have a good mentality and to be focused.\u2019<\/p>\n

Despite the forward\u2019s goal, Zeki Amdouni\u2019s late penalty at the Theatre of Dreams means United have won just one of their last six league matches.<\/p>\n

After the game, Ten Hag conceded that his side\u2019s top-four hopes were over, but Antony is trying to remain positive with an FA Cup final against Manchester City on the horizon.<\/p>\n
