Photo by Denise Truscello.<\/small><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Professional ballroom dancer Gleb Savchenko of \u201cDancing with the Stars\u201d chatted about his latest endeavors.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">DWTS Live 2024 Tour<\/h2>\n<p>Most recently, Savchenko was a part of the DWTS Live 2024 Tour, and he loved being a part of it. \u201cThe tour was great; I had a blast,\u201d he said. \u201cWe did 74 shows in many cities with tons of fans. Everybody had a blast because it was such a great tour, and it was sold-out.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>On January 16, 2024, he performed at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in Brookville on Long Island. \u201cThe Tilles Center show was awesome,\u201d he exclaimed. \u201cEvery show was different due to the different places that we go to but we just love our fans, and their energy. I do feel the most comfortable when I am on stage; that\u2019s for sure.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Celebrity guest host at the Rio in Las Vegas<\/h2>\n<p>Savchenko has temporarily traded his ballroom dance shoes for the bowtie and cuffs for a limited engagement with the Chippendales as their celebrity emcee at the\u00a0Rio Hotel &amp; Casino in Las Vegas.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This limited engagement runs through May 12, 2024. \u201cLas Vegas has been great,\u201d he said. \u201cI just opened the show, and it is something very different than I have ever done before. The show is amazing, and it has been a different creative process.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Joining the \u2018World Tour\u2019 cast for July shows in Atlantic City<\/h2>\n<p>In addition, Savchenko will join the \u201cWorld Tour\u201d cast of Chippendales as a celebrity guest host for six shows this summer (from July 18 to 21) at the Hard Rock Hotel &amp; Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI am looking forward to Atlantic City in July because it will be held in a bigger venue, so that will be a lot of fun,\u201d he said. \u201cThere will be a lot of fans there, so I cannot wait.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of his dedicated fans, Savchenko expressed his appreciation to them. \u201cThank you to the fans for giving me so much love, and for being very supporting of anything that I do, and for coming to the shows. Everything I do, I do for my fans because without them, I am nothing. I just love them and they are awesome,\u201d he expressed.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Working with Oscar winner Mira Sorvino as his celebrity partner on \u2018Dancing with the Stars\u2019<\/h2>\n<p>In the 32nd Season of \u201cDancing with the Stars,\u201d which ran from late September to early December 2023, Savchenko was paired with Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino (\u201cMighty Aphrodite\u201d), where they finished in 10th place. \u201cMira [Sorvino] is so sweet,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"786\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.digitaljournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Mira-Sorvino.jpg\" alt=\"Mira Sorvino\" class=\"wp-image-3712517\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.digitaljournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Mira-Sorvino.jpg 786w, https:\/\/www.digitaljournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Mira-Sorvino-768x586.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 786px) 100vw, 786px\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino. She has been very supportive and she has always been rooting for me,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was very rewarding to work with Shangela. We broke the rules and we made history together. She is very smart and has such positive energy and such a big heart. I just love her. Shangela is very creative and very intelligent,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Future plans<\/h2>\n<p>On his future plans, he shared, \u201cI am very excited to go to Hong Kong to see my girls in July after the Atlantic City shows for a few weeks, and that is going to be a lot of fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Great American Family films<\/h2>\n<p>This past October, Savchenko starred in the Great American Family rom-com \u201cSwing Into Romance\u201d alongside Danica McKellar and David Haydn-Jones. Bradley Walsh directed it from a screenplay by Marcy Holland. \u201cThat was another experience that was absolutely incredible,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDanica McKellar is a wonderful actress and an amazing teacher and acting coach. Danica coached me for this movie, and she is just awesome,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Being a part of Great American Family<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cThe Great American Family network was awesome to be a part of and a great experience,\u201d he said. \u201cIt was a lot of hard work, and definitely something that I\u2019ve never done before. I enjoyed it because it was fun and rewarding.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Choreography a new holiday movie for Great American Family<\/h2>\n<p>Savchenko will serves as a choreographer for the forthcoming Great American Family holiday movie \u201cA Royal Christmas Ball,\u201d which will star Danica McKellar and Oliver Rice. \u201cChoreographing this is awesome,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cRight now, Danica is shooting another movie, which I choreographed,\u201d he said. \u201cDanica is an amazing dancer. She shoots a lot of movies about dance, she acts in them and performs in them. She is such a hard worker and a talented person. I have so much love for Danica and her family.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere is music and there is a different vibe for the movie,\u201d he noted. \u201cIt\u2019s a little bit different than choreographing for \u2018Dancing with the Stars\u2019 because this involves cameras. A lot of creativity goes into it and I working with Danica, who is a great partner. Photo Courtesy of Great American Media.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u2018Salsa in the Sky\u2019 event at Edge NYC<\/h2>\n<p>This past September, he shared that he enjoyed doing a \u201cSalsa in the Sky\u201d dance event at the Edge NYC on the 101st floor at Hudson Yards. \u201cThat event at the Edge NYC was fire,\u201d he exclaimed. \u201cIt was so awesome. The energy in the room was electric.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI turned my simple salsa dance class into a Latin party by the end of that event, so that was awesome,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"650\" src=\"https:\/\/www.digitaljournal.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/09\/Markos-Papadatos.jpg\" alt=\"Gleb Savchenko\" class=\"wp-image-3681225\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Gleb Savchenko of \u2018Dancing with the Stars.\u2019 Photo Crediit: Markos Papadatos<br \/>\n<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Stage of his life<\/h2>\n<p>On the title of the current chapter of his life, Savchenko said, \u201cSelf-love.\u201d \u201cIn order for us to give love and share love, you need to find yourself and you need to understand who you really are and you need to be happy with yourself,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLately, I have been into meditation very heavily, where I meditate each morning for an hour,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Success<\/h2>\n<p>On his definition of the word success, he said, \u201cMy biggest achievement in life is my two kids. I love both of my girls. I\u2019m a dad and they are such good kids. Also, success means being professional in my work.
