The young son of UFC and boxing star Francis Ngannou<\/strong> has died.<\/p>\n

Ngannou, 37, shared the news in a heartbreaking post on Instagram and has since received countless messages of support on his social media pages.<\/p>\n

The former UFC heavyweight champion\u2019s son, named Kobe, is believed to have been just 15 months old at the time of his death.<\/p>\n

The cause of death is not yet known, with media in Ngannou\u2019s native Cameroon first reporting the story before the mixed martial artist confirmed the tragic news this evening.<\/p>\n

\u2018Too soon to leave but yet he\u2019s gone. My little boy, my mate, my partner Kobe was full of life and joy,\u2019 Ngannou wrote to his 7.1 million followers on Instagram.<\/p>\n

\u2018Now, he\u2019s laying without life. I shouted his name over and over but he\u2019s not responding.<\/p>\n

\u2018I was my best self next to him and now I have no clue who I am. Life is so unfair to hit us where it hurts the most.<\/p>\n

\u2018How do you deal with such a thing? How can you live with it? Please help me if you have an idea because I really don\u2019t know what to do and how to deal with this.\u2019<\/p>\n

On X, formerly known as Twitter, a distraught Ngannou added: \u2018What\u2019s the purpose of life if what we\u2019re fighting tooth and nail to get away from is what finally hit us the hardest!? <\/p>\n

\u2018Why is life so unfair and merciless? Why does life always take what we don\u2019t have? I\u2019m f***ing tired.\u2019<\/p>\n

UFC superstar Conor McGregor was among those to send their support and condolences to Ngannou, replying: \u2018I am so sorry to hear of your loss Francis, my prayers are with you and your family at this time.\u2019<\/p>\n

Boxing promoter Frank Warren, meanwhile, sent his \u2018thoughts and prayers\u2019 to Ngannou and his loved ones in a heartfelt message on X.<\/p>\n

\u2018Thoughts and prayers are with Francis Ngannou and his family,\u2019 Warren wrote.<\/p>\n

Ngannou\u2019s coach Eric Nicksick urged fans and supporters to keep the Cameroonian and his family \u2018in your heart\u2019 after what he described as \u2018a heavy few days\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u2018It\u2019s been a heavy few days, words can\u2019t express the pain we all feel for the Ngannou family during this time,\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n

\u2018Please keep Francis and his family in your heart, and may this be a reminder of the fragility of life. Say \u2018I love you\u2019, more often, tomorrow isn\u2019t guaranteed.\u2019<\/p>\n
