David Raya is guaranteed to win the Premier League Golden Glove award following Everton\u2019s 1-1 draw with Luton Town last night.<\/p>\n

Jordan Pickford was the only goalkeeper left who was in with a chance of overtaking the Arsenal No.1 who has kept an impressive 14 clean sheets this term. <\/p>\n

The England international, however, was beaten by Elijah Adebayo\u2019s equaliser as the Hatters earned a valuable point in their battle to beat the drop.<\/p>\n

Raya is now guaranteed to win at least a share of the prestigious award but will win it outright should be shut out Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon as the Gunners look to cement their place at the top of the table. <\/p>\n

The 28-year-old will become the third Arsenal goalkeeper to take the prize after Wojciech Szczesny and Petr Cech, who took the accolades in 2013\/14 and 2015\/16 respectively, with 16 clean sheets each.<\/p>\n

Despite an impressive debut campaign for the north London club, Mikel Arteta refused to confirm Raya\u2019s long-term future speaking at Friday\u2019s pre-match press conference. <\/p>\n

Raya joined Arsenal on a season-long loan from Brentford in the summer and although the Gunners can make the deal a permanent one at a cost of \u00a330million, Arteta stopped shot of confirming the club intends to do so.<\/p>\n

He said: \u2018Those conversations are for after the season, we will review where we are. Obviously we are really happy with David and everything he has brought to the club and the team. There is no question about that.<\/p>\n

\u2018But all of those decisions have to be made between all of us at the club and we will see.\u2019<\/p>\n

Despite Arsenal\u2019s outstanding defensive record, Raya has been guilty of several high-profile mistakes, including the error which gifted Tottenham a route back into last weekend\u2019s north London derby.<\/p>\n

Responding to that error after a game which Arsenal eventually won 3-2, Raya said: \u2018I\u2019ve learned from making mistakes. If you don\u2019t make mistakes, you don\u2019t learn. It\u2019s part of football, everybody makes mistakes.<\/p>\n

\u2018But the thing is, when the \u2018keeper makes a mistake, is normally it is a goal and it\u2019s more seen, more talked [about] compared to a striker missing a tap-in or whatever.<\/p>\n

\u2018But it\u2019s just part of football and you learn from that, that\u2019s the most important thing. You just learn from the mistakes.\u2019<\/p>\n
