Roy Keane has labelled Erling Haaland a \u2018spoilt brat\u2019 after the striker went on record claiming he \u2018doesn\u2019t care\u2019 about the former Manchester United captain or his opinions.<\/p>\n Keane has been heavily critical of Haaland\u2019s performances in recent weeks and said the forward\u2019s general play in City\u2019s goalless draw with Arsenal was \u2018almost like a League Two player\u2019.<\/p>\n And after Haaland made a return to goalscoring form in the champions\u2019 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest last month, the legendary ex-United skipper joked that the Norway international was back up to a \u2018Championship level\u2019.<\/p>\n Haaland had chosen to remain tight-lipped despite receiving a barrage of negative comments from Keane, but delivered a savage response to the outspoken Irishman after scoring four goals in City\u2019s rampant 5-1 defeat of Wolves this weekend.<\/p>\n Asked what he had made of Keane\u2019s recent criticism in a post-match interview with Viaplay, Haaland bluntly replied: \u2018I don\u2019t really care that much about that man, so that\u2019s alright.\u2019<\/p>\n Despite completing a ninth hat-trick in just 94 appearances for City, Haaland appeared visibly frustrated after being taken off by Pep Guardiola for Julian Alvarez in the 82nd minute at the Etihad.<\/p>\n Guardiola attempted to calm Haaland down and exchanged words with the former Borussia Dortmund star, but the forward was clearly less than impressed as he made his way to the bench \u2013 where he proceeded to throw a piece of strapping to the floor in anger.<\/p>\n \u2013 \u00d8\u00b1\u00d8\u00af\u00d8\u00a9 \u00d9\u0081\u00d8\u00b9\u00d9\u0084 \u00d8\u00a5\u00d9\u008a\u00d8\u00b1\u00d9\u0084\u00d9\u008a\u00d9\u0086\u00d8\u00ba \u00d9\u0087\u00d8\u00a7\u00d9\u0084\u00d8\u00a7\u00d9\u0086\u00d8\u00af \u00d8\u00a8\u00d8\u00b9\u00d8\u00af \u00d8\u00a3\u00d8\u00b3\u00d8\u00aa\u00d8\u00a8\u00d8\u00af\u00d8\u00a7\u00d9\u0084\u00d9\u0087 pic.twitter.com\/TjvWq0kh9h<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 \u00d9\u0085\u00d8\u00b4\u00d8\u00b9\u00d9\u0084 (@Dolgador) May 4, 2024<\/a>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure><\/div>\n Speaking after the game, Guardiola insisted Haaland was simply annoyed by the amount of fouls that had gone unpunished by referee Craig Pawson.<\/p>\n \u2018He went down and sometimes it was no foul given It happens every game a lot of times,\u2019 the City head coach told reporters at his post-match presser.<\/p>\n \u2018He was just a bit frustrated for these actions but I can guarantee how happy he was today.\u2019<\/p>\n While looking ahead to this afternoon\u2019s clash at Anfield in the Sky Sports studio, Keane couldn\u2019t resist reigniting his bitter feud with Haaland as he compared Liverpool with title rivals City.<\/p>\n Discussing Liverpool\u2019s motivation levels in their final three games of the season, Keane said: \u2018You\u2019ve got to motivate yourself, have a bit of pride. You certainly don\u2019t want to fall away and let the manager down as well. You\u2019ve got your supporters.<\/p>\n \u2018You find different ways to motivate yourself. There\u2019s a responsibility playing for a big club, you have to go and perform and do the business, and that\u2019s been a disappointment for Liverpool over the last few weeks. The way they fell off, the energy levels have been down.<\/p>\n \u2018When you have the spat with your manager and obviously the star man, it doesn\u2019t help that results aren\u2019t going your way.<\/p>\n \u2018We saw Haaland yesterday being brought off, not too happy, behaving like a spoilt brat, but because they win the game and he scores goals it\u2019s almost forgotten about.<\/p>\n \u2018I think because the results haven\u2019t been going Liverpool\u2019s way, that\u2019s highlighted.
