Israel says Iran launches drone attack from Iranian territory; Biden says support for Israel is ‘ironclad’
The Israeli military said late Saturday local time that Iran had launched a drone attack from Iranian territory toward Israeli territory. The Biden administration confirmed that the Iranian attack had begun and said the United States will “stand with the people of Israel and support their defense against these threats from Iran.”
White House National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson issued a statement saying: “This attack is likely to unfold over a number of hours. President [Joe] Biden has been clear: our support for Israel’s security is ironclad.”
